SugarLily Cakes and Confectionery are bespoke and made to order and Kerry offers a personal consultation service, generally by means of detailed emails, promising to work closely with you to help you find a design that perfectly reflects the sense of occasion, your personal style and budget. You may wish to use the gallery of images on the website and designs from her portfolio as inspiration, or you may have a collection of your own images which Kerry can combine with details unique to your celebration in order to design the perfect cake or sweet treat for your occasion.
Kerry’s commitment to quality and flavour ensures that only the finest ingredients are used and that all produce is freshly baked to order. She uses traditional baking techniques to create deliciously moist cakes and fills them with silky smooth chocolate ganache and quality preserves. Whichever flavour you choose, SugarLily Cakes are made with the love they deserve.
Kerry believes the flavour of the cake should reflect your personality just as much as the design itself and likes to offer the opportunity for you to combine the tastes of your favourite sweet treats to create a cake that is deliciously perfect for you. She generally uses a base of Chocolate, White Vanilla or Caramel Mudcake to begin with, which are all delicious in their pure, unadulterated state, but can also have a twist of flavour added for those that would like something a little extra.
The flavours can be added to the actual cake itself or to the filling and it’s sometimes nice to add a preserve too for an extra dimension. There are so many wonderful combinations to choose from, the list seems endless but here is a list of flavours that work well with the different base cakes to get your tastebuds thinking:

For those who like something a little more traditional you might like to consider Rich Fruit Cake – laced with brandy, nuts, plump dried orchard and vine fruits and molasses for a rich deep flavour or perhaps Carrot Cake – baked with walnuts, vanilla rum soaked sultanas and coconut and infused with a citrus syrup – layered with a White Chocolate or Orange Ganache it is the perfect alternative to a traditional fruit cake and great to serve as dessert
Kerry has a number of food intolerances herself so she is well aware of the need to sometimes make adaptations to recipes in order to create sweet treats that can be enjoyed by everyone. She uses a range of recipes that can be free from gluten, dairy, egg, nuts and soy and will do her best to accommodate any special requests you may have. She uses quality ingredients and prefers to use those that are free from artificial colours, additives and preservatives where possible. She is also happy to use 100% organic ingredients, subject to availability, upon request. Kerry understands that the world of allergies can be a minefield and so many people are often denied the simple pleasure of eating cake as a result of this but it doesn’t always have to be that way and Kerry would be happy to discuss your individual requirements with you.
SugarLily Cakes and Confectionery kitchen has full Council licence and approval and Kerry takes great care and due diligence to avoid cross contamination, however due to the nature of the baking environment and variety of cakes and confectionery produced, it is not a dedicated allergy free zone.
Below is the approximate portion guide for single tiers based on a coffee serving size of 1 x 1 x 4 inch and 2 x 1 x 4 inch for dessert.
Please note that craft jewels and accessories such as brooches, ribbons, flowers, diamantes, beads, feathers, etc. that are used to decorate some cakes are not edible and must be removed from your cake before serving. These decorative gems and accessories are used on request however SugarLily Cakes and Confectionery does not accept responsibility for any harm that may arise from their misuse.
A deposit of $50 is required to secure your date on the SugarLily baking schedule and the final balance is payable 1 week before completion. Payment is generally made by bank transfer.
Changes you wish to make to your order will be accommodated where possible and you will be advised of any additional costs incurred. Ideally changes should be made no less than 6 weeks prior to completion.
Should you cancel your order more than 4 weeks before completion, please note that the confirmation deposit is non-refundable and any specifically ordered items and work already undertaken in accordance with your order is additionally chargeable. For orders cancelled within 4 weeks of the completion date, the full balance will be charged.
SugarLily Cakes and Confectionery is based in Elanora on the southern end of the Gold Coast and all cakes and sweet treats are hand delivered.
There is a minimum order of $150 and delivery is included for local southern Gold Coast suburbs. For central and northern suburbs there is a charge of $15 – $30 depending on the suburb.
Please note that once delivered, the full responsibility for the safety of the cake is with you and SugarLily Cakes and Confectionery is not liable for its care thereafter.

The good vibes started after we first emailed Kerry seeking a quote for our wedding cake.
We wanted something a little less traditional, a little more geek.
Kerry blew us out of the water when she had taken the time getting all the details needed to give us the most accurate quote. Kerry had been the only cake maker who genuinely wanted to know more details about our cake vision.
Kerry had put our minds at ease with her tasting box after we shared our engagement cake horror story. The tasting cakes were delightful, the post feast sugar rush was worth it.
To see our wedding cake on the day was amazing. Kerry did such a beautiful job with not only a tasty, tasty cake but her decorative skills also. Her fondant was so smooth and soft, those who weren’t fondant fans sang a different tune.
It was quite sombre moment to wrap and preserve the cakes top tier as it’s magnificence will not be tasted for another year.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I can not explain in words how happy I was when I saw the cake – but more importantly how happy Portia was. That cake is better than any other Frozen cake that I have seen on the internet, and let me tell you I have looked at hundreds. When a cake looks that good you don’t expect it to also taste amazing – but it did!! Every single parent and child at Portia’s party was absolutely blown away by the detail – imagine their surprise when I cut it and there were blue balls inside!!!! I had Mother’s taking close up photos of the inside of the cake and kids asking for second serves (the ultimate compliment). As for the cake pops WOW!!! I was just so overwhelmed by how incredible they looked (I later found out that they tasted even better than they looked). Portia and the other kids absolutely loved the cake pops too.
